How do I care for my knitwear?

CARING FOR YOUR KNITWEAR

‘Air and Wear’! Wool is naturally odour resistant and requires very little washing, in fact we recommend you air your knits and only wash if absolutely necessary. If you do choose to wash, follow these instructions:

  • Hand wash in lukewarm water (approx. 30 degrees centigrade), using a detergent suitable for wool.
  • Gently manipulate to create a lather to wash; do not rub.
  • Rinse in cold water. Squeeze excess water out by gently pressing the freshly washed knitted item between two clean, dry towels to remove any excess moisture.
  • Reshape and lay flat to air dry – do not tumble dry.
  • Fold your knitwear to store it, avoid hanging as this could distort it. Knitwear which has been hung will lose shape and stretch over time.

How do I return my item?

How do I return my item?
If you are not entirely satisfied with your Merrick Scottish Blackface Knitwear product you can return it to us within 28 days as long as it is unworn and still in the original packaging with labels, swing tags, etc still attached.

To return your order please email us at hello@merrickscotland.com within 14 days of receipt stating your name, address, order number, and reason for the return. After receiving our confirmation, you can return the goods to us.

Merrick Scottish Blackface Knitwear reserves the right to refuse any goods returned outside the time limits stated.

Who pays for the returning items?
Goods are returned at your own expense. We recommend that you obtain proof of posting and retain this until the refund has been processed. Merrick Scottish Blackface Knitwear is not responsible for any lost returns or liable for any duty or custom charges incurred in returning products to us.

When will I get my refund?
On receipt of the returned goods, we will refund to the original method of payment the full price paid within 14 calendar days, providing they are found to be in a unworn condition with all labels etc attached. Postage on returns, refunds and exchanges will not be refunded unless the item is defective, damaged or the wrong item has been sent to you. Where can I track my order?

All our UK orders are dispatched by Royal Mail Special Delivery. This is a next-day service which requires goods to be signed for, so you may prefer to specify a business address when ordering. Please note that we are unable to change the delivery address once an order has been placed. You can track your parcel at Track your Item | Royal Mail Group Ltd. 

All our North American orders are dispatched by Royal Mail International Tracked. Please note this will take more time to arrive than an untracked service. You can track your parcel at Track your Item | Royal Mail Group Ltd 

Can I cancel my order?

In certain circumstances we may be able to cancel your order before it has been shipped. To find out if your order can be cancelled, please email our team at hello@merrickscotland.com as soon as possible after placing your order, being sure to include your full name and order number. For more information on cancellations please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

How do I pay for my item?

We accept most card payments including VISA, Mastercard and American Express. We also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.
